Report 2008 Home Inspection Software

for Home Inspectors

The Texas Home Inspection Industry has seen tremendous change over the last few years. The TREC E7A Short Form format has been tested in the field and proven an effective tool for the prepared Home Inspector. On site computer generated reports, digital pictures, and emailing reports are just a few of the changes that have been brought about by the new format. The new TREC Standards of Practice have gone in effect and now your inspection procedures will change once again.  There are new reporting disclosures that you must make on your reports after September 1st 2004.

The dramatic changes over the last few years have required substantial upgrading of our templates and we are proud to announce the Report 2008 Home Inspection Report templates. Our Report Templates are Microsoft Word versions of blank E7A report forms. These templates can be plain and simple, just like the TREC form, or more customized to help you effectively communicate your inspection with your client. These Word templates come unlocked and are fully editable by you. Single click to active the check boxes, open comment field length, spell check, macro comment capabilities, insertion of digital pictures and diagrams are all part of the power of the Microsoft Word templates. Our new Report 2008 templates incorporate terminology used in the new TREC and ASHI standards and the International Residential Code 2006.

The Report 2008 templates come in five different configurations and all require a version of Microsoft Word or Office installed on your computer.

  • The Report 2008 - Basic template looks and works just like the TREC form. The comment field expands as you insert more comments.

  • The Report 2008 - Intermediate template includes a series of check boxes to help you meet the TREC Standards of Practice reporting requirements.

  • The Report 2008 - Professional template includes text that closely mirrors the TREC Standards. This text is inserted in the comment sections of the report and includes the reporting check boxes.

  •  The Report 2008 - Macro Text has about 700 repair and comment statements that we have developed and used in my home inspection business for the last 25 years. The comments are coded to the report format numbering system and expandable to include your own comments. All auto text can be edited or deleted.

  • Report 2008 - Phased Home Inspection templates are the basic templates that have been reduced to covering different phases of the inspections. The templates come with select IRC 2006 excerpts to help quote the IRC 2006 when making repair comments.  Comments regarding deviation from the TRCC Performance Specifications are include in this package.

Each template is licensed for one office computer and one laptop computer. All versions require Microsoft Word 97 or better to operate.  Sample template sections are available for your download. The various template cost are as follows.

Report 2008 - Basic $  115
Report 2008 - Intermediate $  155
Report 2008 - Professional          $  220
Report 2008 - Macro Text $  135
Report 2008 - Phased Inspection $  150
